THE LAST FIVE YEARS, 2026
Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years is an excruciatingly intimate view of a couple's love as it shifts and crumbles under the weight of time. This deceivingly complicated two-person musical was my fourth show with Southern Plains Productions, and my first at OKC's historic Civic Center. I strove to demonstrate how little autonomy Cathy had over the way her story was told. Jamie was able to interact with the band, the audience, the stagehands, but Cathy was nothing but a character in his play. With minimal scenery, music, lighting, and video became the strongest voices in our world.

"This beautiful production under the direction of Cameron King, The Last Five Years is a must see!"
"Directed by guest artist Cameron King, who might as well be a regular company member by now, The Last Five Years is a tale that brings audiences into the internal workings of a marriage."
